Lindy Wood Swain received her doctor of pharmacy degree, summa cum laude, from Washington State University in 2009. She then continued her postdoctoral training by completing a Geriatrics Specialty Residency. During her residency years with the WSU College of Pharmacy Geriatrics Team, Lindy trained with pharmacist leaders in the fields of geriatrics, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. She primarily worked as a clinical pharmacist at Elder Services, a division of Spokane Mental Health, aiding in precepting pharmacy students and provided in-home medication reviews and consultations. Dr. Swain then completed a fellowship in Geriatric Pharmacy, with a focus in Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.

Her clinical areas of interest include type 2 diabetes and neurology, with a focus on neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Wood currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Parkinson’s Resource Center of Spokane and also assists with medication consultations for the Inland Northwest Alzheimer’s Association.
