Dance for PD

Offered for people with Parkinson disease and their caregivers, this dance class is designed to engage participants’ minds and bodies through many styles of dance, while addressing such PD-specific concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination and gait. Taught by a professional dancer trained in the Dance for PD® method, the class is offered in a relaxed social environment that emphasizes enjoyment rather than therapy.

Feldenkrais for Parkinson's

Learn to use your body more efficiently so you can maintain and improve balance, and prevent falls. The class also helps with walking, rolling over in bed, and getting in and out of the car, as well as reducing pain and stiffness. Class size is limited to 5 participants so we can focus on your specific challenge areas.

Dance Class

Participants will have the opportunity to experience the joy of dancing while forming a community of support. The class is fun and enlivening.

This dance class is specifically designed for people living with Parkinson's disease, but caregivers and supporting family and friends are also welcome, as are individuals living with other movement or neurological disorders.

Working with professional dancers trained in the Dance for PD method, participants are inspired to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable and stimulating. The essence of dance is joy! Come dance with former Trey McIntyre Project and Miami City Ballet dancer, Elizabeth Keller, and enjoy live accompaniment in Ballet Idaho’s beautiful studio. No dance experience necessary!
