Dance for PD

Offered for people with Parkinson disease and their caregivers, this dance class is designed to engage participants’ minds and bodies through many styles of dance, while addressing such PD-specific concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination and gait. Taught by a professional dancer trained in the Dance for PD® method, the class is offered in a relaxed social environment that emphasizes enjoyment rather than therapy.

Feldenkrais for Parkinson's

Learn to use your body more efficiently so you can maintain and improve balance. The class also helps with walking, rolling over in bed, and getting in and out of the car, as well as reducing pain and stiffness. Class size is small so we can focus on your specific challenge areas.

Parkinson's Dance Class

Come learn and practice a variety of dances over the five week program. Techniques include the Argentine Tango, recently celebrated in multiple studies for its positive effects on balance and mobility issues in people with Parkinson disease. Dance is a fun way to express yourself while getting exercise at the same time. This class was created for people with PD to attend alone, or with a partner.

Parkinson's Movement Class

These classes are based on the Methods of John Argue and have been designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s disease. His approach combines yoga, tai-chi and dance, improving flexibility, strength, balance and overall coordination.
