Brian Murphy is an ACSM certified Health Fitness Specialist, and is qualified to train people with Parkinson’s. Brian has led Parkinson's exercise groups at the Bellevue YMCA and Northwest Hospital. He works one-on-one with those challenged with Parkinson’s in their homes, and enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience to help those with PD to create a new, more active lifestyle.

Parkinson's Exercise Class
The focus of this exercise class is to improve mobility of individuals with Parkinson disease. When you have been diagnosed with Parkinson's, it is very important to stay moving and keep active in order to maintain optimal function. Exercise has been shown to be helpful in maintaining mobility throughout the lifespan.

These classes are based on the Methods of John Argue and have been designed specifically for those with Parkinson’s disease. His approach combines yoga, tai-chi and dance, improving flexibility, strength, balance and overall coordination.
