Patients who have undergone or are interested in deep brain stimulation — and their caregivers — are invited to attend this free and informative event at Swedish medical Center.
- DBS surgeon Peter Nora, M.D., will provide a neurosurgeon's perspective of deep brain stimulation.
- Movement-disorders neurologist Susie Ro, M.D., will discuss the benefits of DBS surgery and which patients are the best candidates.
- Patients will share their personal experience with movement disorders — before and after DBS surgery.
- Small-group discussions will focus on Parkinson's disease, essential tremor and dystonia.
This is your opportunity to get together with other DBS patients and their caregivers to share information and personal experiences in an educational and supportive environment. Refreshments will be served.
