Fall Symposium, 2005

The symposium was held at the Shoreline Conference Center on October 8th. It offered a full day of presentations of the latest medical information, resources and networking with the Parkinson's community of Washington. Presentations included:

  • "Update on PD Research: A 'Local' Perspective" James Leverenz, MD
  • "Parkinson’s Progression and Neuroprotection" Jon Stoessl, MD
  • "Deep brain stimulation for Parkinson disease" Ali Samii, MD
  • "The Treatment of Parkinson’s disease by Brain-Cell Implantation: Up and Down Sides" Professor Harry Bradford

In the afternoon, the morning presenters were joined by other area health providers in a discussion and to address audience questions and comments.
