Programs & Services: Caregiver’s Day Off

"Caregiving is a very demanding job. Without realizing it, it can take over your life. When you have no one to help out with this responsibility, the Caregiver's Day Off program offers a periodic respite to allow you time away without having to worry about how your loved one is doing. You don't have to check in with them because you know that a competent person is covering for you. This program gives the caregiver a much-needed period of freedom to relax and enjoy themselves, guilt-free. I used it for the first time a few weeks ago for a full day away to enjoy my hobby, quilting, with a day at Sew Expo to immerse myself in all those beautiful fabrics and patterns. It is truly a wonderful program and I am thankful to have it.”
