Stationery Bike Class

The University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is offering a stationary tandem biking class for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). The class aims to enhance fitness and function in people with PD through exercise in a fun and social atmosphere. The class will be lead by a physical therapist and exercise assistant. It will run three days per week for 10-weeks and is scheduled to start in January 2012. With assistance from a healthy exercise partner, participants will gradually increase their riding intensity and duration.
